Dark Heart Designs Swatches

Hello my dear readers. I recently was chosen to swatch products for Tina of Dark Heart Designs So far I love everything. I figured since I was taking the pictures of swatches I might as well do a blog post too. So on to the pretties :)

First up are the eyeshadows:
All of the shadow samples are in bags stamped with the name. Absinthe is described as "A bright cool-toned green shadow with a champagne sheen. Inspired by the liquor Absinthe, and the green fairy myth." Since I love greens, I knew I would like this one and I did.

Dark Magic Eyelixer is a product from Dark Heart. I find that I get an effect similar to using a foiling medium. I like that the Eyelixer is clear and isn't sticky like some primers or glitter glues.

Anna - "A dark champagne shadow with blue and copper sparkle." This one is a duochrome!!

Beautiful Nightmare - "A frosty cool-toned pink shadow. Inspired by Beyonce's Sweet Dreams."

Bone Daddy - "One of the colors from the Halloween on Christmas duochrome/sparkle collection, Bone Daddy is a pale cream/bone color with orange undertones and sparkle. Inspired by Jack, and created with his nicknames in mind: Bone Daddy, and Pumpkin King"

This one was hard to capture, but It is so beautiful. I think this was my favorite out of this set.

Carnival Queen - "A vibrant lemon yellow shadow with yellow sparkle. Inspired by my life in the carnival industry and the bright colors and beauty of the shows."

I'm not one for yellows, but I like this one with all the sparkles :)

Barrel - "Barrel Lip Slicks Gloss is a slightly sticky, semi-sheer, dark purple moisturizing gloss with subtle blue and green undertones. The name was inspired by Barrel's sometimes black, sometimes purple costume and green shaded skin tone."

This one is pretty, but it's not really for me. I prefer lighter colors personally, but I know there are a lot of girls who like the odd colors and I think this should be one to own. I like that it wasn't thick and it wasn't sticky either.

Love Bites - "Love Bites is a medium rosy pink inspired by the popular tv show, Once Upon A Time."

I LOVE this lipstitck. This is totally up my alley. Normally my lips dry out with lipsticks, but I did not have that problem with this one. I had a lipgloss I was going to put over it when needed but I didn't need it. I plan on getting a full size of this one soon. I Love it!!

I used it here:

Last but not least is:
Last up is the gel liner Bloody Mary which is a brick red color and I think I can see a little gold mixed in, but that might have just been my eyes playing tricks on me. I've never used a gel liner or any liner that wasn't in pencil form, but I'm looking forward to trying this one.

Well there you have it. Please check back soon for some more swatches from Dark Heart Designs Cosmetics If you haven't tried Tina's products yet I highly suggest you check her store out :)

Have a great day and thanks for reading :)

For Drizzle My Shizzle... and a Stamping Plate Review

So awhile a go I started seeing a new kind of mani called a "Drizzle Mani" or "Sugar Spun Mani" It is suppose to look something like this:

Picture from blog: Makeup Withdrawal

I decided to give it a try. First I started off with 2 coats of China Glaze 'Sea Spray' (I forgot to take a picture) and then added 2 coats of Models Own 'Indian Ocean' which I recently received in a swap with the awesome Rachel from Polished Criminails and since is was lemming for me since I first saw the promo pics I had to use it right away.
China Glaze 'Sea Spray'

Models Own 'Indian Ocean'

I normally don't show the label shots, but I think this pic really shows the pink shimmer better then any other picture.
I used Wet N Wild 'Black Creme' to add the black tips.

For the drizzle effect I decided to use another polish from my swap with Rachel, so I used Models Own "Copperpot"

I love this gold!!! Makes me think of carmel :)

I like the effect of this method, but I think it is something I am going to have to work at to get a more consist look. It took longer then I thought it was going to, so I decided to try out something else on the other hand lol.
I received a few items a while back to review from KKCenterHK and this is one of the items. The plate arrived in this resealable baggie.

I'm still not the greatest with stamping and I'm also learning which polishes work with stamping and which don't.
This plate can be found here: Plate B105 I assure you that the spots on the plate are superficial and do not interfere with the actual stamping ability :)

The love this plate since it has a peacock on it :) It was the main reason I picked this plate to try out.

I think the image transferred very well from the plate to the nail. There is a little bit of smudging by that is due to me. The stamper slid a little and I didn't wait long enough before adding a topcoat.

This plate is $5.05, and is worth it. I can't wait to try the other images on this plate. Shipping was pretty fast considering that the company is in Hong Kong. All of my items arrived in perfect condition. If you are interested in placing an order with KKCenterHK you can use the code "Peacock13" for 10% off of your order.

Well that's it for today. Thank you for reading and keep checking back for new posts.

Orange Gradient

I think I'm a bit in love with gradients lol. I think it's all I've been doing lately. But I still love them :) I think this is one of my favorites so far. I used 2 oranges for this mani...
Warning: Lots of pictures ahead!!!

Piggy Polish - Damsel in This Dress and Sinful Colors - Citrine

I love how this turned out. I wanted to wear it forever... but all manis must come off sometimes. But here is some nail porn. I couldn't beside which pics to use to I'm using them all :)\

when I started doing this mani I didn't think there would be enough of a contrast between the 2 polishes, but I think they work perfectly together and I will have to remember this combo for the future.

Well this it for today. I hope you enjoyed the nail spam. Thank you for reading and keep tuned for my next post. Love you all my beautiful readers :)

Summer Mani Gradient

I've been gone for awhile... like over a month :( But sometimes the real world gets in the way of the blogging life, and you just have to deal with it. I've been dealing with a lot of stuff in the past few weeks, but I'm hoping to jump back in better then ever :) Ok so we go...

For this mani I used: Orly - Glowstitck, China Glaze - Flirty Tankini, Beach Cruise-r, and INM - Northern Lights Topcoat

I used the 3 colors to make a nice summer-y gradient!

 Orly - Glowstitck
 China Glaze - Flirty Tankini
 China Glaze - Beach Cruise-r

 INM - Northern Lights

Well that's it for today. I am going to try and keep posting on a regular basis from now on. Thank you for your continued follower ship, and this blog is nothing without my readers, so I thank every single one of you for supporting me.
