Day 8 Metallic Nails

Today is metallic nails... OMG I HAVE A PROBLEM!!!! I guess it is official that when I don't know what to do I do a gradient lol. I'm sure your all tired of seeing them, but I am going to try and mix it up a little more from here on out.

Both of the polishes I used are untrieds. I started out with 2 coats of Butter London "Dodgy Barnett"

I did that gradient with Julep "Kim"

I'm not sure if this is considered metallic or not, but I think they are.
I love how the 2 colors blended together. I really need to lay off the gradients lol. This is the last one for a while I promise.... well except for the gradient day... but other then that, no more for awhile.
Alrighty, well that's it for today. I hope you aren't to tired of all the gradients. Please check back tomorrow for Rainbow nails. Make sure to check out the other ladies below. Have a great night :)
For more on Julep nail polish you can find a list of all of their polishes here!! Enjoy!

Day 7: Black & White Nails

Today is black and white nails and I've been looking forward to this day because it gave me a reason to use some of my water decals :) I love a reason to play with my pretties :)

I started out with 2 coats of my new favorite white polish. I've already bought a back up bottle :) It's from the new Sally Hansen collection. I even love the name of the color "Ivory Skull" hehe I like skulls :)

I planned on doing a gradient so I decided to use my Elmer's glue again for easier clean up :) (that's what all the 'white' stuff is around the nails lol)

I figured I'd try out a new black as my untried, also from the new Sally Hansen collection "Onyx" I love the gradient but I couldn't leave it alone :)

I used Chelsea "Dip It Low" to add a little green tint to my mani :) I did this for a reason.... you will see why below....

hehehe :) I used little panda decals!!!! They are so cute! I got them for review from KKCenterHK. I like how "Dip It Low" adds the green tint to make you think of the greens they eat :) hehe see I did it on purpose!!

This was my first time using water decals and these were super easy to handle. I will be using these a lot more in the future.
Look at the little guy... he's so cute!!! I only used 1 decal per hand since I'll be changing my mani tomorrow. Next time I will have to try using these with some more nail art.

If you want to get these decals for yourself you can find them here: kkcenterhk they have a lot of stuff and not just nail supplies either. Plus their prices are great and shipping is pretty fast for coming from overseas.

Well that's in for today. Tomorrow is metallic nails... not sure what I'm going to do yet, but I'm sure it will be fun lol. Make sure to check back tomorrow for that and don't forget to check out the others participating below :)

Day 6: Violet Nails -- 2 Manis

Today is Violet Nails. I'm still hanging in the game:) I actually did 2 mani's for this one without realizing it but I decided to share both of them with you :) So first up...

I started out with 2 coats of Jesse's Girl "Blue Moon" over white.

This is a pretty purple that leans a little towards blue, but it is really purple :) I felt it still needed a little something so....

I added 2 coats of Jesse's Girl "Confetti" which is a lovely blue/purple glitter in and purplish base.

I really wanted to use the saran wrap method with this mani, but it wasn't totally successful, at least it didn't turn out the way I pictured in my head. But I still like it.

I used a random silver polish that I bought at the dollar store and it had a wonky brush, so I think that might have had a little to do with it.

It still turned out pretty nice, but I'll have to try it again with different polishes.

So that is the first mani. My second mani is an all glitter one :)

I did 3 coats of Wet N Wild "Back Alley Deals" on each nail except the ring finger. I would have been ok with 2 coats, but I did 3 to even it out.

On the ring finger I did 3 coats of Sally Hansen Gem Crush "Lady Luck"

I like these 2 polishes together. They were both very thirsty and I had to use a few layers of top coat to even everything out.

Well that's is for today. Thank you for reading and make sure to check back tomorrow for Black and White nails! Don't forget to check out the other ladies participating in this challenge.

Day 5: Blue Nails...And A Gradient!

Today is Day 5 and I'm so proud of myself that I'm still in it :). I did blue nails but I also used pink. I think the colors go well together. Without further ado here are the nails...

I like how the 2 colors combined in the center and created a 3rd color, totally unplanned and unexpected, but a pleasant surprise :)

For the untried polish I used China Glaze ""Fuchsia Fanatic" and....

China Glaze "Turned Up Turquoise" which I also believe is an untried, but I could be wrong.

When the two colors combined they created a nice purple which I really liked.

I wanted to mix it up a little so I reversed the gradient on the ring finger... but I think I should have skipped it. I think it disturbs the simple beauty of this mani... but I could be wrong! lol

Not being able to leave well enough alone I decided to add a coat of Sinful Colors "Pearl Harbor" which is a blue iridescent glitter in a clear base. It's very subtle, and very pretty!

I know that in some of the pictures is seems to be a very obvious glitter, but it really wasn't. You would just catch glimpses and sparkles in the right light.

I think "Pearl Harbor" is a very simple but versatile glitter to have in anyone collection. Plus at the normal prince of $1.99 at Walgreens it's a great deal. Plus you can often find it on sale for $0.99 :)
Well that's it for today. Thank you all so much for reading and please check back tomorrow for "Violet Nails" My hint for you is... I used the saran wrap method :)

Make sure to check out the other ladies participating in the challenge, and if you aren't already please follow my blog so you will know when my next giveaway will be that's coming up soon!!!

Day 4: Green Nails...w/ Ice Cream

Today is Day 4 of the 30 day challenge set up by the lovely Rachel @ Polished Criminals If you haven't seen/heard about it yet, it's actually 2 - 30 Day Challenges rolled into one. It's the 30 Day Challenge, but you also have to use an untried polish for each mani.

Today is Green Nails and my mani ended up reminding me of mint chocolate chip ice cream... what do you think?

I started out with 3 coats of Barry M "Aqua Green" over a white base. This is a very sheer polish so you really need underwear with it, unless you want to do 50 coats lol. This was an untried polish that I also just happened to get in a swap with the same Rachel that organized this challenge :)

Please excuse the severe lack of clean up. I needed to get it done so I could get to bed.

I then used 2 coats of Wet N Wild Fergie "Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night" which is small black hex glitter and larger gold hex glitter in a clear base. This was also an untried polish for me.

I felt this was one of the few original polishes in the Fergie Collection. It seems like a lot of the polishes were dupes of previous WNW collections.

The end result really made me want some ice cream lol. "TGBAGN" was a great glitter polish. I didn't have to fish any of the glitters out or place them at all. It went one great. It is a wonderful addition to my collection and also unique.

Well that's it for today. I hope you are enjoying the manis for this challenge, I know I am :) Thank you for reading and please make sure to check out the other ladies participating in this challenge below. Also keep your eyes open for a giveaway, I'm nearing 300 followers and my blog's anniversary!!!

Day 3: Yellow Nails

I'm a little late on today's post but I had a long day... But at least I'm not behind :) So here we go.

One of my least liked colors is yellow. This isn't my most creative mani, but I just couldn't find any inspiration, so it's nothing special :( Both of the colors I used are untrieds for me.

I started out with 2 coats of Sally Hansen "Ivory Skull" which I think is my new favorite white. I then did 2 coats of Spoiled "Did I Dye It Too Blonde?"

Then I added 2 coats of Daisy "Explosive Atom" a polish I picked up at a local nail supply shop. I think it's a little similar to China Glaze "Techno" so I think sometime soon I will have to do a comparison.

It's ok I guess, But I really don't care for yellow, so I just wasn't feeling it. Well that's it for today.

Thanks for reading and please check back tomorrow for day 4: Green Nails :) I'll give you a hint to my mani, It looks like a type of ice cream :) Don't forget to check out the other ladies participating in the challenge below.

Challenge Day 2: Orange Nails & Another use for glue...

Day 2!!!
So I haven't fallen behind yet lol. That's good for me :) Today is orange nails. I wasn't sure  what to do so I fell back to my usual which is a gradient lol. I like how it came out. I think the two oranges blended well together and I really like them. So here they are :) Enjoy!!!

I started out with 2 coats of Essie "Action" This is my untried polish for the challenge... Oh and the white "stuff" around my nails... Well I decided to try something new. I was reading how some girls were using Elmer's glue as a base for glitter polish and it made me think... why not paint the glue around my nails for easier clean up???

The second color I used was Sinful Colors "Summer Peach" It's a nice neonish orange.

After I took these pictures and was editing them I noticed on my longer nails that "Summer Peach" didn't hit all the way to the tip of the nails, but I really like how it came out. I may have to try and do this on purpose sometime lol

As you can see the glue worked out really well. This is a picture are doing the gradient with a sponge and peeling off the glue (which was fun for me lol. I like to peel stuff lol). There were only a couple little spots the needed removal, This is with out any clean up other then peeling the glue.

As always thanks for reading and make sure to check the other girls participating and to check back tomorrow!!!
