Triple Knockout

lol, so I've been lazy over the weekend and I haven't been posting for the 90 day challenge :( I'm trying to make up for this. I am going to be posting for Days 7, 8, and 9. I will make a separate post for Monday. Enjoy!!

Day 7 - The Pinks
So my mani for day 7 was done using 3 different pink polishes. I couldn't decide which one to use so I just used them all lol

I started out with 2 coats of Sinful Colors "Bikini"
 This picture is very close to the true color. It's a hot pink with a blue sheen to it. Very pretty... and bright :)


 I next added 1 coat of Spoiled "Shrimp On The Barbie" which is a light pink with golden glass flecks. When I added it on top of "Bikini" it brings down the bright pink a little and adds a golden effect.


 The last polish that I added was Spoiled "I Have A Confection To Make" which is a pink iridescent glitter. Looks like I added tiny jewels to my nails :)

I really like how it turned out. All of the polishes layer together really well. It was very pretty and much more sparkly in person :)


Day 8 - Under Your Spell

This is a basic mani. I used 2 coats of Wet N Wild "Under Your Spell" and on the accent nail I did 2 coats of Nicole by O.P.I. "Make A Comet-ment" It's pretty simple but it looks very pretty.

 "Make A Comet-ment" is very similar to China Glaze "Fairy Dust" but is much more dense.


Day 9 - One Day Without Shoes
So this isn't a mani but it is polish. I recently got a package in the mail. I had no clue what it was but it was a bottle of polish. I had signed up to try and receive a free bottle of polish from essie and Tom's I had signed up on Facebook. The polish is for One Day Without Shoes 

What is One Day Without Shoes?
The day we spread awareness of the impact a pair of shoes can have on a child’s life by taking off our own. Why? Millions of children live without proper footwear, exposing them to injury and disease every day.


This is a limited edition polish 'Barefoot In Blue"
I was lucky enough to receive a bottle. I think the winners were chosen randomly. It's a very pretty blue and I will try to swatch it soon :)

Day 5 - Pink w/ Black Pokey Dots

I've felt like crap all day. Sick and migraine... not fun. So obviously I haven't really done anything today except lay on the couch and sleep with my fur babies. Here is a mani I did within the last couple weeks. I started with 2 coats of Spoiled "Tip Your Waitress" and with a dotting tool and China Glaze"Smoke and Ashes" from the Hunger Games Collection I added my pokey dots :) yes I say Pokey and not Polka lol here is the final result:



 Not sure why it looks more purple in this picture... but I assure you this is a bright pink.
This was my first time using my dotting tool for a full pokey dot nails mani. I like how it turned out a lot. I can't wait to try this with other colors.

Day 4 - My first NICE Gradient!!

I've been wanting to do a gradient for awhile but every time I tried it, it turned out like crap :(... well I think I'm finally getting the hang of it. YAY!!!! I am very proud of the final result and extremely happy with it. This is my post for Day 4 of the 90 day challenge. It's after midnight, but I will post again today to count as Day 5... Ok on to the pretties!!!

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze "Fast Track" from the Hunger Games Collection. I then sponged on  CG "Riveting" from the same collection. I wasn't sure how it would turn out so I didn't take pictures as I went step by step... but I will next time :)

 The glitter on the tips is a franken I made. It has red holo glitter. It bled a little into the base, but it didn't show on the nail. I sponged small amounts of the glitter on to give it a little more sparkle.

 I actually got a cramp in my hand from holding my fingers like that lol.. won't be doing that again.

I love this mani so much. It really sparkles a lot more in person. I will try to get some pics of it in the sun tomorrow.

Day 3 - Midnight Metallica

I've been slacking a bit on my nails so I figured this challenge would be a great chance to post some stuff I had sitting around. Today's mani is one I did awhile back. I think my application has improved since I did this one :) I really like the color and I plan on using it again sometime soon.

I used 2 coats of Piggy Polish "Midnight & Mistletoe"


I figured it need something more so I used striping tape and Wet N Wild "Metallica"

Being me I needed some sparkle. I added 1 coat of China Glaze "Fairy Dust"

90 Day Challenge Day 2

I'm a bad girl... I got distracted after work so I'm just going to throw up something I had on my nails awhile ago, like Deccmber lol... Sorry I promise to do better :)

A Black Mamba and a Club Rat walk into a bar... - Day 1

Ok, so it's not really a joke, but it is what's on my nails :) I didn't do a whole lot for this mani. Just some simple stamping today. I started out with 2 coats of Spoiled "Club Rat" and stamped a weird little skull over it with Spoiled "Black Mamba" and finished it up with OTD Northern Lights for some sparkle :) This is the final result





 Nothing to special but I like how it turned out. I'm starting a 90 day challenge with some other girls in a facebook group Never Too Much Sparkle. We are suppose to post something beauty related everyday for.. you guessed it 90 days lol. I'm really going to try and post something everyday. Most will probably be nails, but I've been getting some awesome shadows lately so there will be some eye looks mixed in there. It started yesterday so this will be my post for day 1 and I will do another post when I get home to count for today. Well wish me luck and keep checking back to see how I'm doing on the 90 day challenge :)
