Day 7: Black & White Nails

Today is black and white nails and I've been looking forward to this day because it gave me a reason to use some of my water decals :) I love a reason to play with my pretties :)

I started out with 2 coats of my new favorite white polish. I've already bought a back up bottle :) It's from the new Sally Hansen collection. I even love the name of the color "Ivory Skull" hehe I like skulls :)

I planned on doing a gradient so I decided to use my Elmer's glue again for easier clean up :) (that's what all the 'white' stuff is around the nails lol)

I figured I'd try out a new black as my untried, also from the new Sally Hansen collection "Onyx" I love the gradient but I couldn't leave it alone :)

I used Chelsea "Dip It Low" to add a little green tint to my mani :) I did this for a reason.... you will see why below....

hehehe :) I used little panda decals!!!! They are so cute! I got them for review from KKCenterHK. I like how "Dip It Low" adds the green tint to make you think of the greens they eat :) hehe see I did it on purpose!!

This was my first time using water decals and these were super easy to handle. I will be using these a lot more in the future.
Look at the little guy... he's so cute!!! I only used 1 decal per hand since I'll be changing my mani tomorrow. Next time I will have to try using these with some more nail art.

If you want to get these decals for yourself you can find them here: kkcenterhk they have a lot of stuff and not just nail supplies either. Plus their prices are great and shipping is pretty fast for coming from overseas.

Well that's in for today. Tomorrow is metallic nails... not sure what I'm going to do yet, but I'm sure it will be fun lol. Make sure to check back tomorrow for that and don't forget to check out the others participating below :)

Day 6: Violet Nails -- 2 Manis

Today is Violet Nails. I'm still hanging in the game:) I actually did 2 mani's for this one without realizing it but I decided to share both of them with you :) So first up...

I started out with 2 coats of Jesse's Girl "Blue Moon" over white.

This is a pretty purple that leans a little towards blue, but it is really purple :) I felt it still needed a little something so....

I added 2 coats of Jesse's Girl "Confetti" which is a lovely blue/purple glitter in and purplish base.

I really wanted to use the saran wrap method with this mani, but it wasn't totally successful, at least it didn't turn out the way I pictured in my head. But I still like it.

I used a random silver polish that I bought at the dollar store and it had a wonky brush, so I think that might have had a little to do with it.

It still turned out pretty nice, but I'll have to try it again with different polishes.

So that is the first mani. My second mani is an all glitter one :)

I did 3 coats of Wet N Wild "Back Alley Deals" on each nail except the ring finger. I would have been ok with 2 coats, but I did 3 to even it out.

On the ring finger I did 3 coats of Sally Hansen Gem Crush "Lady Luck"

I like these 2 polishes together. They were both very thirsty and I had to use a few layers of top coat to even everything out.

Well that's is for today. Thank you for reading and make sure to check back tomorrow for Black and White nails! Don't forget to check out the other ladies participating in this challenge.

Shredded Mani & May/June Haul

I'm going to start out with a mani and then show you most of the polishes I've bought in May and most of June. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few, but it's still a lot lol.

So my mani today is pretty simple. Nothing special, but I still think it looks awesome. I started with 2 coats of China Glaze "Love's A Beach" I forgot to take a picture before adding 1 coat of Icing "Shredded"

I really liked this mani. I did have a few C.O.D. moments where I picked at the flakes that didn't lay flat. That was minor, and totally something that I can deal with and work with. I think this would look awesome over so many different colors.

Ok now on to my haul pictures!!!

First a few things I picked up from Big Lots:
Color Mates "Cabernet" "Spring Fling" and "Fuchsia Flash"
Revlon "Grapefruit Fizz" "Apple-tini Fizz" "Watermelon Fizz" "Pineapple Fizz" "Grape Fizz" and "Mint Fizz"
O.P.I. "Just Spotted The Lizard" "Number One Nemesis" Sally Hansen "Multi-Faceted" and "Ring-a-Ding"
 Color Club - Blossoming Set

Orly - "Swizzle Stick" "Steel Your Heart" "Green Apple" "Butterflies" "Prelude To A Kiss" "Oh Cabana Boy"

China Glaze "Love's A Beach" and "Orange You Hot?" Icing "Shredded" "Rave Royalty" "Pampered & Primped" and "What Planet Are You On"

The 4 Cos Bar's have no names, but you can find them at Target, O.P.I. "It's Totally Fort-Worth It" "Pirouette My Whistle" and "Shatter The Scales"

Revlon "Sorbet" Magicolor This polish stinks to high heaven lol, and Sally Girl neon orange

Well that's it for today. Now you see what I have to have a blog sale lol. Thanks for reading and have a great day/night!

Latest Haul! - Day 35

Day 35 of the 90 Day Challenge

I know that my polish collection is way big, but I have a hard time saying no to the pretty bottles. I go into stores to do some shopping and try to stay away from the polish but it hunts me down and finds me. It knocks me down and won't let me back up until I promise to take it home with me. What!? For real that's how it really happens, I Swear!!! lol ok that's how it feels some times :) Well this is what I've recently picked up.

L to R: Icing - "Forget You" " Almost Famous" "Call Me Glitzy" "Red-y Or Not Here I Am"

L to R: China Glaze - "Sexy In The City" "Grape Juice" "Riveting"

I love "Riveting" so I had to pick up a spare bottle while I could :) I realized later that I already had "Grape Juice" so not I have a spare bottle of that too lol

L to R: Nina's Ultra Pro - "Opal Elegance" "Molten Opal" "Like Butta" and "Unteal You"

L to R: FingerPaints - "Silkscreen Green" "Pop Art Purple" "Inkblot Blue" and "Late Night Rendezvous"

L to R: Zoya - "Charla" and "Ivanka" and Sally Hansen - "Teeny Greeny Bikini" and "Pumpkin Spice"
I bought the Sally Hansen at the Dollar Store for $1.00 for a 2-pack.

L to R: Orly - "Buried Alive" "Mysterious Curse" "After Party"

"Buried Alive" and "Mysterious Curse" are from the Dark Shadows Collection. I'm very excited for the movie and these polishes are beautiful. The other 2 in the collection were a red and white cream and I found nothing interesting in those 2.

I haven't used any of these yet but I can't wait to, so look for some manis using these. Let me know if there are any you are really wanting to see!

You Better Catch Up!!! Days 16, 17, and 18

Warning: This is a long post with lots of pictures!!!

I'm a bad, bad, bad, blogger :( I've been slacking on the posting for the 90 Day Challenge. I've had a lot going on, but you didn't come here to hear me whine lol, so I'm just going to get on to the pretties you really came to see :)
Day 16 of the 90 Day Challenge
So first up is a polish I got in my recent swap, Models Own "Tropical Sun" one of the newly released polishes. It's a little on the sheer side so I used 3 coats. Next time I think I'll use some underwear :)
I love the color. It's an orange with a golden shimmer to it. I planning on playing with some layering soon. I love to play with polish!

I didn't notice the little bubbles on a few of the nails until I looked at these pictures lol, it wasn't really that noticeable on the nail though.
I'm very happy with this polish and I'd love to get the other two that were recently released at the same time as "Tropical Sun"

Day 17 of the 90 Day Challenge

Yesterday I went to the Dollar Store to find a small glass dish for water marbling... I went in for 1 thing and came out after spending $13.00 lol... Here are the nail related items:

These polishes are so pretty and 2 for a $1 so they are 50 cents each!!! Awesome dea1! These two are "Midnight Sky" and "Teal-y Cool"
These two are "Lavender Envy" and "Twinkle, Twinkle"
These I saw and had to get them. I figured that if they don't work for franking then I can still use them for nail art. I have a few being tested right now to see how they hold up in polish.

The top ones are bar glitter and various shapes, the bottom row are glitter, bullion beads, and iridescent glitter. There was a 6th one but it was the crushed shells and I had no interest in them so I didn't get them. I'm thinking about go to pick up a few more for my next giveaway. Let me know if you want more pictures of these.

After that stop I went to Sally Beauty Supply for their buy 2 get 1 sale on the polishes. This is what I brought home:
L to R: Pink Voltage (neon), Celtic Sun (neon), and Into the Limelight (neon)
Since summer is around the corner and the weather is kinda warming up, I decided that I needed some nice neons in my collection.

L to R: Burnt Orange, Molten Gold, Molten Copper, Purple Pizzazz
I just liked these ones :)

I also received nail mail from an ebay auction that I won.
L to R: Icing Radio Super Star, Party Hardy, Glamourous, Lemon Cello On The Rocks
I got them for a great price, cheaper then if I had bought them in the store, even with shipping so Yay! Win for me!
I did try out "Radio Super Star" the blue and purple glitter were pretty, the starts on the other hand were a PITA, but if you can get them on your nails they do lay flat.

Day 18 of the 90 Day Challenge
My first go at water marbling!!

So really it isn't my first go at it, but it was my first attempt that actually made it on my nails lol. I was having so may issues, but after I tried a glass dish it worked out a lot better. I was trying to get something similar to this:
This was done by Colette from My Simple Little Pleasures. How awesome looking is that? I love it. I tried to use similar colors since I didn't have the exact same ones. I used:
China Glaze - "Riveting", "Harvest Moon" "Smoke and Ashes" and Spoiled - "Pick Your Poison"

Mine didn't come out even close but I'm still proud of it :)
Left Hand, the 2 darker nails are the first ones I dipped, so not that great, and you can't see the "bubbles" in person either
I love how my thumbs turned u, I just wish it hadn't gotten smudged :(
I got a bit better on the second hand. I dipped all 4 fingers in at the same times since it was getting late and I was getting tired. I should have used more black and red.
I do like how this thumb came out too. None of my nails really looked like flames so it was kinda a fail, but you can't get better at something if you don't practice. So I know what I'm going to be doing this weekend :)

Well that's it for now. I'm not current on the 90 Day Challenge. Don't forget to check out the other ladies participating in the challenge as well:
