It's A Bloodly Mess!!!

One of my favorite things to do is a splatter mani, and I love blood splatters the most!! Halloween would not be complete without one. Here is mine for the holiday season :)

I started out with 1 coat of Circus 'Reverso' which is the awesome white polish from my last post.

I seriously love this polish an am on the look out to get another bottle! I could have done 2 coats but just the one served it's purpose. Since I have the french tip CNS nails (Custom Nail Solutions) I usually need a base coat unless the polish is darker. So I just use 1 coat to give me a staring point.

This is what I ended up with: (please excuse the slight tip wear on a few nails. I wasn't able to take pictures right after doing my nails so I did them as soon as I could.

Left Hand: I used a coffee stirrer as the straw. I really like how this one turned out.

 Left Thumb
Right hand. I didn't want to go over board and make them really "bloody" so I tried to keep it to 1 or 2 blows per finger and a 3rd one here and there.

 Left thumb
 My wonderful bottle of 'Reverso'

For the blood I actually mixed two polishes together. I really wanted the red to sparkle. I liked the color of Spoiled 'Pick Your Poison' and the sparkle/glitter in NYC 'Broadway Burgundy Frost. It's a little hard to see the sparkle in the pictures but it is much more noticeable in person.

I think that mani turned out pretty darn good!!! I hop you like it as much as I do. I am hoping to have another post up tomorrow. Thanks for reading and please let me know what you think!!!

Ruby Red Pumps Gradient

I started doing my nails the other night and got so into it that I almost forgot to take pictures.. So in the pictures of the base color you will see some tape on my fingers. When I do gradients I always put tape around my nails after doing my base color. I find this makes cleanup a lot easier. Well I had started doing the gradient on one hand when I realized that I didn't take a picture. I didn't want to take the tape off and have to put it back on, so I hope you understand. :) Ok enough babble and on to the nails!!!

I did 2 coats of China Glaze "Snap My Dragon" In the picture I'm sure you can see the nail line. I don't know if I told you all yet but a few months ago I bought a set of Custom Nails from CNS. I love these things, and I think it is the best purchase I've made in quite some time. The reason the line is so visible is that they are permanent french tip so it is had to get opaque coverage with out a white base coat. It really isn't so noticeable in person. If you want to know more about these nails check out their site here: Custom Nail Solutions.. moving on :)

This color is very pretty. The formula is wonderful and very smooth. I had no issues with this polish. It is from their Avant Garden Collection. I think I ended up buying most of the collection. "Snap my Dragon" is a bright reddish-pink with pink shimmer.

For the gradient I used another China Glaze polish, "Ruby Pumps" This is another polish that is beautiful. It is a bright red jelly loaded with red glitterIt is part of the core collection, but I've heard that some people have a hard time getting their hands on it since it is so popular.

"Ruby Pumps" is another wonderful polish. I applied it to the top portion of all my nails (and the bottom of my ring finger) using a makeup sponge.

The final result of this gradient ended up being very subtle which I liked. I love gradients so this was a nice way to change it up a little and not have something that was super noticeable.

All in all I think this turned out great and look forward to using other polishes from the Avant Garden collection

These two polishes worked very well together. Just another reason why I love China Glaze so much.

Thanks so much for reading. If you haven't done so already please make sure to enter my giveaway, it ends in 6 days!!

Blow Me One More Kiss

So without going into it took much, I just ended my relationship with my now ex-fiance. I was depressed but today a song come on that made me feel a bit better and gave me an idea for a mani. The song, if you didn't catch the title, was Pink "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" Here is what I came out with.

I started out with 2 coats of Barielle "Night Moves" which I just picked up today at TJ Maxx for $2.00. The coverage is great and the formula was just as good. I don't have a whole lot of polishes from this brand so I was happy to find it, along with a beautiful blue called "Sky's The Limit" also for $2.00

I decided to layer 2 coats of Sinful Colors "Charmed" which is another polish I bought today at Walgreens for $1.00 using the current coupon. I applied this polish to all of my nails except for my middle fingers hehe. I should have used a glue base, but I wasn't planning on using a glitter polish until I picked it up lol.

So for my middle finger I stamped kissy lips using 2 KleanColor polishes "Metallic Pink" and....

and KleanColor "Metallic Red" Both of these worked awesome for stamping!! I have a few other of the metallic ones and can't want to use them for stamping.

I really like how this turned out and it was better then I pictured in my head. And the kisses on the middle finger is kinda like a farewell to a toxic relationship, even though it still hurts.

I love it! Well that's it for today. I hope to get my tutorial for my polish stands up soon. Ugg I fail so hard, but I took the pictures I just need to write up the post.

Thanks for reading! If you haven't seen the video or heard the song here it is for you, Enjoy!

Walking Dead Holidays

Today I wanted to share a mani with you that I just did and am wearing as I write this post. I also have a few pics of things I've gotten recently.

First, my mani...
I started a glue base like I did when ever I plan to wear glitter. I then applied 2 coats of China Glaze "With Love" which is a lovely bright red creme. It is a very opaque polish and I probably could have gotten away with just 1 coat, but I did 2 just because I can :)

This polish is from this years holiday collection Holiday Joy

I then did 2 coats of All That Glitters "Walking Dead" I won this polish in a giveaway a little while ago and  I think this is my first time wearing. I love that this polish is named after one of my favorite shows. It's metallic red, white and black glitter in various sizes in a sheer reddish base.

"Walking Dead" is a bit on the thicker side, I might have to add a little bit of thinner to it. It actually applied great despite being a bit thick. The pictures show 2 coats applied like normal polish. I didn't have to dab to fish for glitter, or place anything.

I like how it kinda muted "With Love" so it wasn't so bright. I think this is a great combo for this zombie named polish, but it also kinda works for the holiday season ") lol

I think red polishes are one of the hardest colors to do clean up on. What do you think?

So next I want to share a package that I got on X-mas eve. When I got the box I had no clue what it held. It was a very kind package from someone in a facebook group I'm in. It's called a RAOK (Random Act Of Kindness) and it really was. I haven't really celebrated X-mas for the last few years so the holidays just aren't the same. This little box really meant a lot to me and made my holiday really great. I owe it all to Sam H. :)

Everything wrapped and still in the box. After I read the card I decided to take pics since it really meant a lot.

 Everything out of the box.

Everything unwrapped. I love everything and included a lot of brands I haven't tried yet. The scents are so yummy. This package meant more then anyone can imagine.

Next up is my X-mas gift from my mom, even though we agreed we weren't doing gifts. When I said that her response was "But I'm your mother" lol My mom totally knows me. I LOVE Taco Bell and skulls.

She also got my favorite chocolates, Ferrero Rocher, and the sleep pants that i had recently pointed out at Walmart a few days ago :) The Eggnog taffy is open because I ate a piece before taking pics :) Taste just like eggnog, so good!

This is what I won from a multi blogger giveaway. The blogger I won my prize from was The Do It Yourself Lady The only thing missing is the rhinestone wheel that I just realized lol. It was just clear rhinestones.

The polishes are KleanColor "Holo Chrome," Finger Paints "Tough Art To Follow," Every Beauty "She Rock'd It!," and a min Zoya "Zuza"

Lastly are a few Julep polishes I got I don't remember what the boxes are they came from, but I know 3 of them I got for free using my points for a free box, and a free add-on :) I love these colors!

Julep "Vivien," "Ivy," "Cindy," and "Harper"

For more on Julep nail polish you can find a list of all of their polishes here!! Enjoy!

Well that's it for today. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed everything. Have a great night!!

Santa And His Elves Are A Little Late...

So I'm a little late with this post, I'm sorry :( Please forgive me. I hope every one had a great X-mas (or other holiday as it applies to you) I didn't really celebrate it this year. Things have changed a lot since I was a kid. The holidays just aren't the same. But anyways, the theme for today's post, which was meant for the 24th, is Santa and Elves.

I had an idea in my head and it turned out like I planned. I like it, what do you think?

I started out with 2 coats of China Glaze "Ruby Pumps" on my ring finger and thumb.

And 2 coats of Zoya "Logan" from this years Ornate Collection. I love both of these colors and I think they are very "christmasy" (I don't think that's a word, but I'm making it a word) but also nice for an every day color.

I think this is the first time I've used "Ruby Pumps" and now I know why everyone is always talking about it and always trying to find it. I know that it is apart of the main collection but it's almost always out of stock. This is a must have polish for everyone!

I forgot to take a picture of the white before adding the glitter, but I used a dotting tool and China Glaze "White On White" to make the fluffy part of the hats on the tips of my nails and the fluff for Santa's jacket on my thumbs. I figured adding white would make the glitter stand out more.

For the Santa nails I also used my dotting tool along with China Glaze "Glistening Snow" and applied it over the white.

For the elves nails I used China Glaze "Angel Wings" along with the dotting tool over the white.

I figured since there is only one Santa it made more sense to have several elves and one one Santa :) I think it turned out cute and people seemed to like them.

I noticed that I missed a few spots during clean up, but oh well lol.

All of the polishes applied great. The China Glaze holo glitters applied like a dream and had great coverage. I can't wait to use these again. They are so sparkly and a distraction in the sun lol.

Well we only have 1 more mani left in this challenge. I don't think I've doing anything for New Year's, but I'm still going to put on some major sparkle and bling nails :) Can't wait to see what everyone else does :)

Thanks for reading. Either later tonight or tomorrow I will be posting pics of some recent packages and gifts I've gotten recently. So keep an eye out for that, and don't forget to check out the other ladies participating in this challenge.
