Black, Silver,and Nubar

I really wanted to use my new Nubar "2010" so I decided to use black and silver polish. I used L.A. Colors "Circuits" and "Live" I did a half moon mani, I just really like how they look :)
Sorry for not cleaning up before taking the pictures.

I then topped it with Nubar "2010" here is a bunch of pictures since the colors are just so pretty. The colors are different depending on the angle you look at the nails. I tried to show it the best I could :)

To get some other looks I used a brighter lamp to get some more shots

So there you have it... so pretty I plan on trying it over some other colors so watch for those.
Take care and thanks for reading!!

My latest haul from the Dollar Store!!

So I was out visiting a friend this past weekend so I decided to stop at a Dollar Tree I'd never been to before. I found a few things that weren't at the ones near my house and a few I'd seen before and just decided to finally pick up. I also stopped at a few other places and got something in the mail :) Take a look:
So all the L.A. Colors polishes and the Art Deco's were from the Dollar Store
From left to right: Red, 24k glitter, Silver Glitter, Bright Green, Mint Green, Black Sparkles
From Left to Right: Circuits, Live, Tropical Breeze, Clear Coat, Sassy Sparkle

There was a Sally Beauty next to the dollar tree so I stopped in there too :) I had just signed up for a sally card so I had a $5 coupon so I got Orly "Love Each Other"
It's so pretty in the bottle I can't wait to try it :)

The next polish is something I've been wanting and I was able to find it on Ebay.... I got my very first Nubar polish. I got 2010...
This will be shown in my next post. I was so excited to use it :)

Next are a couple polishes I picked up at Wal-Mart..
Pure Ice "Heartbreaker"

The last thing I got this past weekend:
I found a nail supply shop in the area and I bought some empty polish bottles so I can try doig some frankens :)

So that's my haul. If you have any comments or questions please leave a comment. Thanks for reading :)

Last Minute polish change...

So last night I decided to change my polish again. It didn't work out the way I planned but I was able to improvise :)

I was going to use Confetti "My Favorite Martian" as the base but it just wasn't dark enough for me, so I decided to use underwear :) (a nice term I picked up from a friends blog) so I used Sinful Colors "Happy Endings"

"Happy Endings" is a pretty light green with a nice shimmer in it. I almost didn't want to layer over it lol After 2 coats of "Happy Endings" I went over it with 1 coat of Confetti "My Favorite Martian"
"My Favorite Martian" is a nice green, the picture doesn't show it but there is a little bit of glitter in it :) So I wanted to try doing a tape mani on a diaginal.... Sadly when I added the second color L.A. Colors "Force" and removed the tape it pulled up some of the green :( so I improvised.... I used some of the glitter from when I did my shoes.

This is the end result. I didn't clean up because I was on my way to bed... and it was about midnight lol
I took a new picture today after eveything was all cleaned up :)

I hope you like it. Please leave any comments or questions you may have :) have a great night. I'm about to meet a friend for a couple drinks!!!

Soooooo...................

I was so happy to wear my glitter shoes the other day... and then my boss brought his big butt-head of a dog to work :( the dog likes me and he always lays under my desk. He is still a puppy and he was trying to play and he scraped a bunch of the glitter off :( I decided to fix them and I am going to spray a clear coat protectant on them. I just repainted them last night and I had to wait 24 hours to dry, so I am going to spray the clear coat on them then I will post new pictures.....

Ok on to the nail polish :)

I wasn't sure what color to paint my nails so I sent my mom a text saying "I need u :(" since she lives downstairs she came up asking what was wrong.... I gave her a sheepish grin and said "I don't know what color to paint my nails!" lol she was like "Are you kiding me?" so mom picked out a color for me. She picked Sinful Colors "Under 18"

"Under 18" is a very shimmery pinkish red. It's not really red nor pink... but it is pretty. I was trying to get a close up shot but my lamp wasn't working :(

Well after I did 2 coats of SC "Under 18" I decided it needed something else, so I decided to try a half moon pedi... I saw this idea somewhere a while ago, I can't remember where though. It's a creative use for hole reinforcemers :) you know, those little things you put on paper to keep the holes from ripping, I just cut them in half.... like this.....

For the top section I decided to use  Nicole by O.P.I. "Sounds Grape to Me" I like it because it is a deeper red but it also has glitter in it :)
After I put on this color I made sure to take the stickers off before the polish dried.... Then I put on my top coat and this is my finished project... Sorry I didn't clean up before the picture. I was in a bit of a hurry lol. Sorry...
I am going to get my light fixed so I can use my marco lens and I'll be able to get better pictures of my nails. I'll try and clean up before the final picture too :)

Have a great night... Tomorrow I'll show you what I did with some of the left over glitter from my glitter shoes :) And hopefully I'll be able to start making frankens soon. I found a nail supply shop and I'm hoping they will have empty bottles... otherwise I will have to order them online

Glitter Shoes!!!

This summer I bought 2 pairs of glitter flats at Wal-Mart, black and silver, and I've been looking for a pair of green ones ever since but with no luck. Then I came across this tutorial:
I was so excited to try it and it just happened that I went to Wal-Mart soon after and I found a white pair of flats on clearance...

I was so excited. I then went to the craft and bought some Fabric Fusion glue and a bottle of Martha Stewart green glitter and went to town. I didn't use even a fraction of the amount of glitter I thought I was going to use. I still have to do a little bit of clean up on them and a couple little touch ups, but here they are in all of their glitter gloriousness...

The glitter is so fine, it is so pretty.. I have a lot left over so i'm thinking about using some with nail polish soon... not sure what but I will think of something.

I hope you like. I can't wait to wear them :) Please leave comments. Thanks for reading!!glitter
