Oh My Toxic Glitter Apple! Gradient

I love gradients. I was missing them during the 30 day challenge last month. I wanted to try new things so I told myself to not do any gradients unless there was no other option. So I've been missing them quite a bit and I think this gradient makes for a great comeback!!! Let me know what you think.

I used Wet N Wild "Toxic Apple" and...

 Essence "Oh My Glitter!

I love this gradient so much. It looks so much more drool-worthy in person.

"Oh My Glitter!" has a strong gorgeous pink shimmer... BEAUTIFUL!!!

The pink shimmer shows up so much more in person too.

Both of these polishes applied great and they worked wonderful for a gradient. I think it works as a Halloween mani too which works out great since it's October.

October is also the 1 year anniversary of my blog, and I can't believe that I have 300 followers. I just want to thank everyone for reading my blog and following me. I really want to have a giveaway for all of this, but I have to hold off a little longer, but I promise to have one soon to thank you all for being so awesome!!!

Thanks for reading and watch for my up coming giveaway!

Dark Heart Designs Cosmetics Face Primer

So I recently found a Indie company called Dark Heart Designs Cosmetics. I had the awesome opportunity to be one of her official swatchers along with a few other amazing ladies.

Tina, the creator, is taking pre-orders for her amazing face primer.

Info from her site:
Preorder the new face primer from Dark Heart and try a new foundation for your look. Available for a limited time in a specially priced small quantity. Orders should ship within 14 business days from order date.
Each primer comes in a 1 oz squeeze tube.
The only animal I test my products on is myself. I take great care to make sure that all containers are disinfected and all pigments are bacteria free. If you follow the guidelines included with your order, your new products will stay clean and safe.

♥ Ingredients ♥
Cyclopentasiloxane (294-40-6), Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer (243137-53-3), Silicon Dioxide (7631-86-9), Vitus Vinifera (Grapeseed Oil 8024-22-4), Titanium Dioxide (77891 13463-67-7).

Tina sent me a sample to try out and I fell in love. I've tried a few face primers and this, I think, is by far the best. It goes on velvety smooth and it feels like your skin is made of silk. While I was using it I saw a great increase in the clarity of my skin. It felt less oily too. I've already placed my pre-order.

I think everyone should own this product or at least try it out. You don't need much either. My sample lasted awhile, but not long enough since I've been out for awhile :(

so yeah there it is... go buy it and fall in love, I know I have :)

Challenge Roundup: My Favorites

So I took a day from the nail world to take a break and re-charge. Doing a 30 day challenge really takes a lot out of you lol. I wanted to do a quick recap of some of my favorites from the past 30 days!

Here we go: You can click the pictures to be taken to the original post!

Day 2: Orange Nails - I loved the accidental gradient that happened on my ring and pinkie finger

Day 7: Black and White Nails - This was my first time using a water decal and I think it turned out really cute.

Day 11: Polka Dots - This was my first time using dotting tools and I fell in love with this mani, I almost didn't want to take it off. I will be doing this a lot in the future.

Day 13: Animal Print - I've been practicing my stamping more and even though the stamp didn't transfer 100% I still think it turned out great. We will be seeing this again in the future as well :)

Day 17: Glitter - This was my first go at a Jelly Sandwich and I loved it. I can't wait to try other combinations.

Day 19: Galaxy - I always thought galaxy mani's were so pretty and I never thought I would be able to do it. But thanks to this challenge it pushed me to give it a try. I think it turned out pretty well for my first try.

Day 20: Water Marble - Me and water marbles never got along, but I pushed that aside for this challenge and after hours. and I really mean hours, of trial and fails I finally came out with something decent. I've learned that I need to be more patient when doing these and have decided to try it again in the future.

Day 22: Inspired By A Song - I knew right away what song I was going to use, "Nothing But The Water" by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, and I loved the calming effect these nails gave me when I looked at them.

Day 23: Inspired By A Movie - This mani was actually inspired by a group of movies in truth, I was thinking of zombie movies when I did this. I really love blood splatter manis and this was no exception.

Day 28: Inspired By A Flag - I'm mostly German so this was an easy choice. I love how the dots and the fish braid looked together. I think if I have done all the nails with the fish braid it would have been too much. I look forward to trying it again with other colors.

Day 30: Inspired By A Tutorial - This was the last one, and I was giving it a second shot. Once you figure out how to do it, it is pretty easy. It's kinda time consuming and messy so tape is a big help. This is another one that I plan on doing again too.

So those are my favorites of the challenge. If you want to see more just click a picture and you can also see the other ladies that participated in that days challenge. I really had a lot of fun and learned some new things. I would totally do a challenge again, but maybe a shorter one lol.

Thanks for reading. Which mani was your favorite?

Day 30: Inspired By A Tutorial... Last Day!!!

So here we are, It's the last day of the 30 day challenges. I can't believe I made it and that I didn't miss a day. I had a lot of fun, and I stepped out of my comfort zone a few times. I'm really glad I did this challenge. I now have a few new techniques in my arsenal. All that said, I'm really happy that it's over lol. There were so many days that I wanted to do something that didn't work with the days theme, like I finally bought Ninja Polish "Sticks N Stones" and I've been dying to wear it. Now I'll finally be able to :)

Alright enough blah blah blah, and on to the last challenge. Today is "Inspired By A Tutorial." It was kinda funny because I kept looking online to figure out what I was going to do, only to remember that I had already decided. It's been a long weekend. I've been dealing with migraines for the past 2 days.

What I decided to do is actually my second go at this technique and the first time wasn't that great, and I figured out a trick on accident from doing yesterday's mani.

Some call it the spun sugar mani or the drizzle... whatever you call it I really like the effect. I started with a base of 2 coats of Sinful Colors "Jungle Trail"

For the "drizzle" I used Wet N Wild "Miami Spirit" and...

China Glaze "Under The Boardwalk"

The trick I learned to make this easier was to put a few drops of polish, about 5 or 6, on a palette and to let it sit for a few minutes until it starts drying. Then using a dotting tool mix it around and, Volia!, stringy polish!

I really like how it turned out but I still felt like it needed a little sparkle :)

So I added a coat of Northern Lights :)

This time it turned out a lot better the my first try... which you can find here.

I guess the second time is a charm for me on this one. Now that I know how to do it I know I'll be doing it again in the future. It is a pretty messy and time consuming technique, but I think it is worth it.

Well that ends the 30 day challenge! Thank you so much for reading and following my progress. This has really gotten me into the routine of blogging a lot more then I use to and I am going to try and keep it up. I don't know if I will do every day, but I will do more then a couple times a month.

Don't forget to check out the other ladies below, and again thanks so much for reading and following my blog.

Day 29: Inspired By The Supernatural

Only one more day left!!! I really thought I would have dropped out of this challenge a llloooonnnggg time ago. I think that having my friend Rachel from Polished Criminails start the challenge made me keep at it. It always helps to have a friend doing something along with you to keep you motivated.

So today is supernatural day... I had no clue what to do. I stopped at Sally Beauty on my way home from the dog park today and I was so happy that I did. They had just put out the China Glaze Halloween collection. I ended up getting the 4 piece set and then the other 3 separate polishes to complete the whole set. I really wanted to use a few of them so this is what I came up with....

These are the polishes I used, only 2 of them are from the new Halloween set.
Orly "Au Champagne", "Faint o Heart", Wet N Wild "French White Creme", China Glaze "Rougish Red", "Liquid Leather", "Immortal", and "Ghoulish Glow"

lol Yeah this is my lovely creation lol. I really wanted some evil eyes. So I used "Immortal" as the base on my ring, middle, and thumb nails, and "Faint of Heart" as the base on my other 2 nails.

Doing the best I could I used "Liquid Leather" to make a headstone and my eye shapes.

My thumb is suppose to be a full moon, and the pinkie is suppose to me red eyes looking out from the mist.

Hehehe I also used some glow-in-the-dark polish :)

Alright, only one day left. Make sure to check back to see it. Thank you all so much for reading. And check out the ladies below!
