Scuppered and Angel Wings

I love accent nails, mainly because I hate picking just 1 polish to wear lol. I have such a hard time deciding on a polish when I don't have a mani in mind. I wanted to use one of my new Butter London polishes and I ended up picking another polish that I felt went along with it.

 

 I used 3 coats of Butter London"Scuppered" It applied wonderfully. It was opaque in 2 coats, but I decided to do 3 just because I could lol.

 

 The polish I used for the accent nail is China Glaze "Angel Wings" which is from the new holiday collection. I also used 3 coats for this one, and the formula was great. It dried a bit gritty, but nothing top coat can't fix :)

 

  

  I've heard that this is a dupe for last years "Ultamate Holiday"... which I happen to have (comparison at the end of the post for those interested)

 

 The top coat transferred a few pieces of the green hex glitter from "Scuppered" on to "Angel Wings" I just wanted to make it clear that this was not part of "Angel Wings"

 They do look super idetical in the bottles.

 

 Once applied to the nail I felt that "Ultamate Holiday" and a bit more sparkle to it then "Angel Wings" but other the that I think they are pretty dead on as dupes :)

 

I think if you have 1 of them that you really don't need to have both... unless your a crazy collector like myself lol

NO H8 In The Nail Polish Community

 

Eradicate Hate In The Nail Polish Community

 

Bullying is not funny. It is not cool. It is not right. And more importantly, it is not okay.
Most of us are, thankfully, residents of countries that support tolerance and many of our families have settled in these places simply for that reason. Generations later, it is our responsibility to perpetuate that message of tolerance across our new social platforms, including the internet.

As members of the nail polish blogging community, we all share a love of beauty, color, and lacquer. Other than that, we are remarkably different: from our race to our religion to our hair color...even to our polish application techniques. To marginalize anyone because of those differences is completely unacceptable and today I take a stand against that. I refuse to allow other people's view of "normal" dictate how I behave, believe, and blog.

In solidarity with a multitude of bloggers linked below, my purple manicure represents my proud commitment to the No H8 movement. Today, November 8, I dedicate my post to ending bullying of any kind and to encouraging diversity and imperfection among our colorful community.

I find it so sad that this is even an issue. As someone who dealt with bullying when I was in school I know the pain and damage it can cause. I remember when I started my blog, and this was something that never even crossed my mind. I'm very lucky in the fact that I've never experienced this through my blog. I've found nothing but kindness and acceptance in the nail polish community. I hate that anyone should have to go through this.

 

It's nail polish for heaven's sake!!! If you don't like someones nail cleanup, or lack of, then don't read that blog. It's as simple as that. For some people, myself included, our blogs are an outlet for us. It is a place we feel safe and comfortable. Bullying is never ok... NEVER!

 

I was a little late to find that today was the day for purple manis, so I hope you will accept something from my vault. I wish you all happiness, love, and may your polish always make you happy, because that's the only thing that really matters.
