Santa And His Elves Are A Little Late...

So I'm a little late with this post, I'm sorry :( Please forgive me. I hope every one had a great X-mas (or other holiday as it applies to you) I didn't really celebrate it this year. Things have changed a lot since I was a kid. The holidays just aren't the same. But anyways, the theme for today's post, which was meant for the 24th, is Santa and Elves.

I had an idea in my head and it turned out like I planned. I like it, what do you think?

I started out with 2 coats of China Glaze "Ruby Pumps" on my ring finger and thumb.

And 2 coats of Zoya "Logan" from this years Ornate Collection. I love both of these colors and I think they are very "christmasy" (I don't think that's a word, but I'm making it a word) but also nice for an every day color.

I think this is the first time I've used "Ruby Pumps" and now I know why everyone is always talking about it and always trying to find it. I know that it is apart of the main collection but it's almost always out of stock. This is a must have polish for everyone!

I forgot to take a picture of the white before adding the glitter, but I used a dotting tool and China Glaze "White On White" to make the fluffy part of the hats on the tips of my nails and the fluff for Santa's jacket on my thumbs. I figured adding white would make the glitter stand out more.

For the Santa nails I also used my dotting tool along with China Glaze "Glistening Snow" and applied it over the white.

For the elves nails I used China Glaze "Angel Wings" along with the dotting tool over the white.

I figured since there is only one Santa it made more sense to have several elves and one one Santa :) I think it turned out cute and people seemed to like them.

I noticed that I missed a few spots during clean up, but oh well lol.

All of the polishes applied great. The China Glaze holo glitters applied like a dream and had great coverage. I can't wait to use these again. They are so sparkly and a distraction in the sun lol.

Well we only have 1 more mani left in this challenge. I don't think I've doing anything for New Year's, but I'm still going to put on some major sparkle and bling nails :) Can't wait to see what everyone else does :)

Thanks for reading. Either later tonight or tomorrow I will be posting pics of some recent packages and gifts I've gotten recently. So keep an eye out for that, and don't forget to check out the other ladies participating in this challenge.

Reindeer and Sleigh... Fail :(

Well if your reading this then the world didn't end. I figured as much. anyways, Today is Reindeer and Sleigh nails. Oh my lord, this was such a fail for me. I tried several polishes for stamping and I had to keep removing the stamping because it didn't want to fully transfer. I wanted it turn out so much different they it did. In the end I figured out what the problem was (needed more topcoat to create an even surface for the stamping), and I just gave up and said F it.

I started out with 2 coats of Revlon "Coastal Surf" what is a pretty sky blue and the application was wonderful.

Using a makeup sponge I did a gradient using Sinful Colors "Neptune" which is a darker blue with a silver micro glitter. I should have used darker colors to make it look more like a nighttime sky. Looks more like the middle of the day lol.

I felt like I need a little something more so I added China Glaze "Snow Globe" to the tips of the nails to look like snow fall.

I ended up using 2 thick coats of topcoat to even it all out.

These are the plates I used for the stamping.

I should have used a darker color for the stamping since you can barely see the stamping :( whomp whomp lol.

I used Sally Hansen "Silver Sweep" for stamping. I really wanted to add a red rhinestone on the pinkie nail for Rudolph, but I didn't have enough room. whomp whomp again!

Oh No!! the present broke in half... I hope Santa has insurance lol.

So yeh total nail fail. Almost didn't want to post, but they can't all be winners. I think the nail failures are when we learn the most. I learned to make sure that my base is always even before stamping, and I need to find more polishes for stamping lol.

Thank you so much for reading and please make sure to check out the other participating below :)

Christmas Decorations!

First I want to give my congratulations to Tami M. who won my 400 follower giveaway!
I also want to give you a heads up that I will be having another giveaway shortly!

Today's theme is X-Mas decorations. I wasn't totally sure what to do so I just decided to look through my stamping plates and picked out a couple that got to stamping. Oh and I had just gotten some rhinestones in the mail so I decided to play with them too.

I must warn you I am kinda tried so this isn't going to be a chatty post, sorry :(

For my base colors I used Nicole by O.P.I. "I Love You Cherry Much"

and Maybelline Color Show "Avante Green"

I used Sally Hansen "Silver Sweep" for the stamping. I really need to find other polished for my stamping lol.

These are the plates I used... Like I really need to say that lol. I'm sure you all figured that one out on your own :)

I'm really happy with how this turned out and I really liked how the rhinestones really gave it a little something more. I NEED to start using them more!!!

Well I hope you enjoyed this mani because I did! Thank you so much for reading and don't forget to check out the other ladies below:

Presents/Gift Wrap Nails

Today we have gift wrap nails. I'm really happy with how they turned out. I've been trying to do more stamping lately and I've realized it is so much easier when you have polish that actually works good for stamping lol.

My base polish is 2 coats of China Glaze "Running In Circles" from the new Cirque de Soleil collection. I really love this polish and it applies awesome. It's such a pretty polish and since it's green I love it even more lol.

It's a glitter polish, but it's not gritty and I found removal to be pretty easy not like normal glitter polish.

For stamping I used Sally Hansen "Silver Sweep" which works so good for stamping that when I first used it I realized how much I like stamping :) I also used it with a striping brush to make my "ribbons" on the package.

I used a few different stamps because I didn't want all my nails to look the same and I also changed the placement of the bows for the same reason.

I'm very happy with the final result and I think they look like real presents lol... well if they were really small anyways.

I want to apologize if this post is a bit rambling or weird but I've had a migraine most of the day and I had to take some medication and I feel a little foggy right now. I want to thank everyone for reading and don't forget   tomorrow is the last day to enter my 400 follower giveaway, so please do so if you haven't already!!

Also don't forget to heck out the other ladies below!!

Festival Of Lights

Today's theme is "Festival Of Lights" I've been looking forward to this one because I've been wanting to try our the string lights nail art. I wanted it to look like light strung up outside so I started with a white base.

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze 'White On White" the first coat was a bit streaky, but the second coat evened it all out. I wanted to make it look a little more like snow, so....

I added 2 coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri "In A Flash" which gave my nails a bit of a frosty look, which I felt gave it the perfect look.

After I added a quick dry coat to the base, I used a nail art pen to create the black lines which is the "string" part of the lights.
Then using a dotting tool I added the colors randomly to each nail. At first I thought it looked to crowded, but then I realized that's how it should look :)

The colors I used are: China Glaze 'Dorothy Who?'

 China Glaze 'Ruby Pumps'

 China Glaze 'Running In Circles'

 Wet N Wild '9.0.2.1.Orange'

and Wet N Wild 'The Gold & The Beautiful"

I really like how it turned out and I next time I'll try and space out the "lights' a little more and see how that turns out.

Thank you for reading and please let me know what you think and don't forget to check out the other ladies below :)

Oh and I have some awesome polishes set aside for my next giveaway (which will be when I reach 600 followers)
