Stupid Internet!!!!

So I can only access the Internet from work right now. That's why I haven't been posting. I have not abandoned my treasured followers. I should be back on Thursday night when the Internet at home has been fixed. My first post back will be a review on Tick:Tock Cosmetics. I bought their samples collection so I was able to swatch ALL of their shadows. So much prettiness to look forward to :) Until then! :)

I Gotta Confection To Make...

First I know I've been a very bad blogger :( but migraines, depression, and new medication can do that to you. I'm a pretty open person and see no reason to be ashamed or embarrassed by it. I've had migraines since I was about 5yrs old, and have had on + off depression since about 14. It's part of who I am and all I can do it try and work through it and move on. Soooo... enough of that, on to the pretties you came for :)

"I Gotta Confection To Make" is a polish from the Spoiled line by WNW. I saw it today at CVS and even though I don't like pink much, I tend to fall for pink polishes a lot... Weird! About a week or so ago I first bought "Tip Your Waitress" which is pretty much a neon pink, and I had to have it lol. When I saw IGCTM I knew I was going to have to use the two together and that is just what I did :)

This is two coats of "Tip Your Waitress" Cameras really don't like neon colors. I tried to get it as close to as IRL as possible. It's a very pretty color and it dries to a semi-gloss. It's not matte, but it isn't super shiny either.

This is two coats of "I Gotta Confection To Make" I was curious if the pink base of it would change the color of "Tip Your Waitress" but it didn't at all which I was happy about. I love how it came out. Almost like a piece of candy coated in sugar :) I'm sure you could wear IGCTM on it's own. I swatched it on a nail wheel and I think maybe 3 coats at the most would give you full opacity. The formula on both polish was so smooth, like butta, the one thing I found annoying was the brushes are to wide for my narrow little pinkie nails lol, but I can deal with it.

Bonus.... Since I've been neglecting my readers:
I've seen a lot of posts about Revlon "Royal" and decided I had to get this polish here it is...
First I did two coats of "Royal" and added two coats of KleanColor "Grand Finale"

Also I went to Ulta during lunch today and bought two of the O.P.I. colors from the Nicki Minaj collection, one of them was "Save Me' This is one coat over "Royal"...

"Save Me" is awesome. It's similar to "Grande Finale" but it has so much more added to it... "Royal" on the other hand, while it is a very pretty blue, was a PITA application wise. It didn't want to go where I wanted it to go and I had to re-do a couple nails. ugggg I'm not sure if I am going to keep it or trade it. It's  sooo pretty though... Oh well.

That's it for today.

Do you have "Royal"? If so what has your experience been like?
If you have any questions or comments please feel free to leave them below!
And as always, Thanks for reading :) This blog is pointless with out my readers :)

Snow Ball's Chance in Hell!!

Hehe, that's just a fun phrase.

Well first I want to say I got the nice surprise of become Tick:Tock Cosmetics Fan of the Week!!! I got a store credit for it and since I was already planning to order I decided to just get the sampler set of all 32 colors :) I'm so excited I can't wait!!!

Ok, today I have a mani and a comparison for you. The comparison was a request from a reader - findaghost :) She saw my post about the Spoiled polishes I picked up from CVS that included "Shaken Snow Globe" that looks a lot like China Glaze "Snow Globe"

Here are the two going up for comparison:
Please excuse the messy application:
CG "Snow Globe" is on the fingers 1 and 3; Spoiled "Shaken Snow Globe" on fingers 2 and 4

So as you can see they are similar, but not dupes. China Glaze is bigger "chucks" then Spoiled. So sadly no dupe here.

And here is my mani :)  I figured I'd do something "coldish" since we just got our first big snow here in Wisconsin. This came out real close to what I saw in my mind :) Here are the polishes that I used in order of application:

Nicole "It's All About The Glam", Pure Ice "Oh Baby!", Finger Paints "Add & Abstract",
Pure Ice "Strapless", and Spoiled "I Have No Reception"

I first used a clear base coat. I really should have used underwear because Nicole "It's All About The Glam" is very sheer and I needed 3 coats. I thought it was a good base since it is a white with a very pretty subtle shimmer. I used a coat of  SV before I did 2 coats of Pure Ice "Oh Baby!" to give the mani a nice blue shimmer. Another coat of SV. With , Finger Paints "Add & Abstract" I used a piece of a makeup sponge to sponge it on about 1/2 of each nail. To finish up the look I did one coat of
Pure Ice "Strapless" over the blue and one coat of Spoiled "I Have No Reception" over that, and to finish up I did another coat of SV.
So I ended up with a total of 13 coats!!! lol Ended up a bit on the thick side, but I love it.

I went to Sally's yesterday and the girl that was at the register though they were fake and she was really surprised to find out that they were my real nails and that I did them myself :)

So what do you think? Please leave any questions or comments you may have below and as always Thanks for reading :)

Frankenstein.... Is that you????

So, I'm not sure why but this mani really makes me think of Frankenstein every time I look at it. I wore it for a few extra days since it's the first time a stranger has commented on my nails lol :)

My main color I chose is such a sheer color that I decided I needed some underwear :) I started out with one coat of Ulta "Set the Nude" I didn't take a pic of this step, but it almost matches my exact skin tone, so I had as some would say, Mannequin Hands lol

My main color is FingerPaints "Guggen, I'm Lime" I love greens and this one has been calling my name for awhile and I finally got it the other day. I did 2 coats of "Guggen, I'm Lime" over "Set the Nude" and for the black I used China Glaze "Liquid Leather"

Please note that this was my first time using a dotting tool:) with that said....
Here is what I ended up with:

It's not perfect in any way, but I love the result. I will be trying this one again :)

Well that's it for tonight. Thanks for reading and as always please leaven any questions or comments below :) I hope you had a great weekend!!

KleanColor Metallics

I just realised I have 30 followers and I've now posted over 50 posts :) *does happy dance*

So on to the pretties....

I recently picked up a bunch of KleanColor polishes... like 30 of them lol. I really wanted to do something with the Pink and Green Metallics. So this is what I end up with. I started with 2 coats of the "Metallic Pink"...

It's really pretty pink. I'm not much for pinks, but I really like this one and I can see me wearing it again, but probably not on it's own lol.

I used striping tape and then did one coat of "Metallic Green" on top. I love how this turned out It really made me think of a beetle which is awesome. I think I wore this for 3 days, which is a day or two more then I usually wear my manis :)

I will say this, when I removed this polish the pink stained like a mother plucker lol. I'm fingers were pink until after I took a shower. Even my mom noticed they were stained pink lol.

All in all I was happy with the outcome. They both went on great without any issues.

Have you used the pink before and had the staining issue?

As always thank you for reading and please leave any questions or comments below :) Have a great weekend!!!

2 Quick Mani's

The first one for today is just one color nothing fancy, but I really love the color...

This is 2 coats of Spoiled "I'm So Jaded"...

I love this color so much. I think it is one of my new favorites :) It's a really bright green. It has a gold/yellow shift to it that is so beautiful. I got it because it reminded me of Gir from Invader Zim, If you don't know what Invader Zim is, you are missing out and you need to go watch it now.

This is Gir:
Annnnnd this is my Gir :)...

He's my baby. He was a rescue and I've had him for about 3 years now.... anyways, back to the nail stuff.

The second mani for today was inspired by a movie I watched last night called "The Perfect Teacher" It's about a girl who becomes obsessed with her high school teacher and tries to seduce him, but when he isn't having that she claims he forced himself on her... not a real original movie, but it inspired my polish :)
The movie was kinda dark so I used 2 coats of Orly "Androgynie" and since he was a teacher I used Wet N Wild Coloricon "Rockin' Rubies" to signify and apple... people use to give their teacher's apples... lol I'm so weird :)

Well that's it for tonight.

As always thank you so much for reading and please leave any questions or comments below :) Thank you.

Spoiled @ CVS

I've seen a few posts on other blogs about a new line of polish coming out from Wet N Wild called  Spoiled I've been going to all of the CVS's in my area trying to find them... Finally found them about a week ago. They were on a little display hanging from the side of a shelf. For more info on this product line please check out Nouveau Cheap's Blog. Well these are the 5 colors I bought when I first found them:
L to R: Shaken Snow Globe, Bite Me, Show Me The Money, Distant Memory, and Black Mamba

2 coats each:  Bite Me, Distant Memory, Black Mamba, and Show Me The Money
All of the formulas went on great with no issues. "Distant Memory" Is a bit more sheer and it could have used a 3rd coat, I didn't notice the bald spot until looking at the pictures on my computer,
"Shaken Snow Globe" looks a lot like China Glaze "Snow Globe" I'll try and do a comparison soon. I love how "Show Me The Money" and "Black Mamba" look together.
The colors are great and so is the formula. I plan on buying more from this line.

Do you have any of the Spoiled polishes?

Please leave any questions or comments below, and thanks for reading :) Have a great New Year!

For Bitten & Dazzling Dimonds

Well Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you all had a good time. I didn't do anything, like usual, I don't go out for New Year's because everything is so expensive, everywhere is really packed, and at the end of the night your on the road with a bunch of drunks, so I prefer to just stay home :)

I was to apologize for not posting for a bit. I've been fighting a bit of depression and am now on a new medication so hopefully it will help. Anyways, your here to see some pretties, not to hear me ramble :)

Today I have a mani I did using Ulta Professional "For Bitten" and Milani  "Dazzling Diamonds" I love how it turned out :)

I love how this color looks. This is 2 coats. It almost looks like black, but it's got a red in it that looks like it glows from within. It is so beautiful. I almost didn't get this polish, and now I'm glad that I did :) The formula was great I didn't have any issues that I can remember. Sorry for the lack of clean up, not sure why I didn't do that lol

Since I'm Miss Can't-leave-anything-alone, I added some bling to it :) I did one coat of "Dazzling Diamonds"

I think it adds nicely to it without making it look like too much. I really like the end result and I can't wait to try layers different stuff over "For Bitten"

Do you own either of these polishes? Do you plan on getting them?

Please leave any questions or comments below and as always thank you for reading :)
